He began his professional journey with major multinational pharmaceutical companies, spending 18 years in senior management roles with organizations such as Glaxo (India) Ltd., Fulford (India) Ltd., and Bristol Myers Squibb, where the oncology segment was one of his primary focus areas.
He later transitioned into hospital operations and healthcare management, dedicating the last 16 years to the administration and strategic development of multi-super specialty and tertiary oncology care hospitals, including Sahara Hospital, HCG Regency Cancer Center, T. S. Misra Medical College & Hospital, and Globe Healthcare, across Lucknow and Kanpur.
He has played a key role in the evolution and growth of these institutions at both middle and senior management levels, contributing significantly to organizational strategy, operational excellence, and sustainable expansion. His core expertise lies in public relations, strategic planning, and commissioning of new healthcare projects, supported by hands-on experience in establishing advanced radio-diagnostics, radiation oncology, and nuclear medicine infrastructure across multiple hospitals.
He completed his MBBS and MD (Medicine) from King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow, and further specialized with a DM in Clinical Haematology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, one of India’s most prestigious medical institutions. His advanced training has equipped him with expertise in cutting-edge haematology, bone marrow transplantation, and cellular therapies.
Currently, Dr. Khandelwal serves as the Principal Consultant and Head of Hematology, Hemato-Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy (CAR-T) at Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi. He is recognized for his commitment to clinical excellence, adoption of advanced treatment protocols, and a compassionate, patient-centric approach to care.

Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor at Rama Medical College, Mandhana, Kanpur, and is associated as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at Kanpur City Hospital, Vikas Nagar, Kanpur. He continues to actively deliver advanced cancer care while mentoring future medical professionals.
